In the shadow of the grandstand, the Sesquicentennial Tent radiated with special LED generated colors. Alternating
between rosy pink, subtle purple , sweetcorn yellow and pale moon blue, the tent was adorned with sepia tone reproductions
of many old photographs. A true artistic achievement inside and out.
Cast and Crew from Big Top took the show "on the road" for the entire 12 day run of the Great Minnesota Get Together.
The tent used for this project is similar to the Blue Canvas that sits peacefully in the Valley just outside of Bayfield,
WI from early June to Mid September of each year.
Clouds and rain lingered briefly on the sole Wednesday of the Fair. An air conditioned atmosphere soothed weary walkers when
air temps reached into the mid 80's. The smaller adjacent tent held demonstrations, merchandise and exhibits from State
wildlife, historical, educational and government departments.
This partial version of "State Fair " was done at TPT studios in May of 07. The late Don Pavel began the journey
to the Fair with Big Top so it seems right to place him on this page. We felt his spirit at the Fair.
This is a tribute montage we are linking from a YouTube contributor. It certainly highlights Don's musical passion.
His skill and emotion blended to produce magic.
